  PROCESSING YOUR DATA
 

Output to plotter, file, or clipboard

File management and plotting routines vary greatly from one system to another. If a standard scheme has not been set up for your instrument, consult the manual or your system manager.

  From NUTS, typing pl will plot the spectrum as it is shown on the screen. Make sure that your printer specifications are correctly entered in the dialog box shown below (click here for a larger version), and that you have selected landscape orientation:
 
   
  You can add a comment to the spectrum (sample name, your name, ID#, etc.) by typing co and inserting the desired text as illustrated below (click here for a larger screen).
 
   
  You can save your data in the normal way with File/Save or File/Save As, as shown below (click here for a larger version):
 
   
  You can copy your spectrum to the clipboard as a bitmap with CTRL-c. The spectrum can then be pasted into another application, such as a word-processing or graphics program, with CTRL-v. This allows you to add remarks or a company logo, as illustrated in the following figure (click here for a larger image):
