Fourier Transformation
  You are now ready to transform your FID to a more recognizable form by executing a Fourier Transform. This mathematical operation sorts out frequency components in a signal, and displays them as a frequency vs. intensity spectrum.
  In NUTS, the Fourier Transform is effected by typing ft in the command line. Position your mouse over the image below to see the transformation happen (click here for larger versions). Note that the baseline is distorted. This is normal immediately after the FT; this problem will be addressed in the next section.
