INTEGRAL
NORMALIZATION
Since integrals reflect the numbers of protons contributing to a particular
peak, it is usually convenient to scale all the values relative to a peak
whose
origin is known. For example, you might set the integral of a methine proton
to equal one, or a methyl, to three. To do this in NUTS, position the mouse
over the integral to be referenced, then type
V while holding the mouse
button down, to bring up the screen shown below. Enter the desired
reference value, and hit OK. When you are finished with all the desired
integration operations, type Return or Enter to go back to the Base Level.
You can toggle the integral display on and off from this level with CTRL-I.
