Silicon Graphics (SGI) Unix-based computers:
 
  This is the main computer used by the NMR-CTP system to control the spectrometer (located on the right-hand side of the computer table). It is fairly typical of the type of computer used to operate most modern NMR spectrometers.
   
  The system below is a slightly older SGI computer (called an Indy) which the NMR-CTP uses for data-processing only; it can be found on the left-hand side of the computer table. However, some older NMR systems may still use this type of computer as the main processor:
